Why
Thai Tours? (By Roger - the owner)
After 15
months of working like a dog in Dhaka, Bangladesh, a colleague invited
me to join him and a couple of his friends on a 2 week break to
Thailand. "We'll be spending a few days in Bangkok and then
going down to Ko Samui" he said, "it should be fun".
I accepted
at once; it had been over 12 months since I took a holiday and the
stress of managing a business in Dhaka was playing havoc with my quality
of life. I felt I needed a break, but didn't realise at the time that
what I really needed was Thailand!
Arriving
at Bangkok airport I was greeted by the arrival signs 'Welcome to
Thailand - The Land Of Smile'. Cute marketing I thought, but it
turned out, for me at least, to be one of the most accurate advertising slogans
I've experienced. Within hours of my arrival in Bangkok I was
indeed smiling, and I didn't stop the entire trip. In fact, thanks
to the warmth and hospitality of the Thai people, the stunning scenery,
fabulous weather, warm seas and golden sands, and the
exquisitely beautiful Thai ladies, I rediscovered a joy of
life and playfulness of spirit the business world had almost beaten out
of me.
Relax,
Renew, Rediscover Joy!
Now,
alongside
my international trading business, I run Thai Tours for fun. It's
designed to offer the Thai Experience to others, who
may, like me, be in need of it!! I've been fortunate enough to
hook up with some wonderful people in Thailand, both local and expat,
and can save you weeks of searching for the right place to stay, the
right scuba instructor to dive with, the best nightspots etc. etc.
My
organisational style is relaxed but efficient and Thai Tours attracts
those who enjoy friendly, informal service without pomp or ceremony, and
the camaraderie and fun of travelling in a group (10-15 max). Group
members are usually (but not always) 25-35 yr old 'executive' types.
I personally
accompany every group, (it's a holiday for me too!) and so am always on
hand to assist and guide when needed, but I won't be in your
face or get in the way when I'm not needed or wanted.
I've set
up a basic 2 week program, which is fully
inclusive, but of course you're free to participate or not in any
activity you choose. For pre-arranged groups, the program can be
designed to suit - just let
me know what you want!
See you in
Thailand. |
